Brown Photography is a husband and wife team located in Raeford, NC. Joshua Brown is a photojournalist and studio photographer while Rachel Brown has an incredible eye for detail and intimacy in her portraiture. We work mainly in the southeasternUnited States, however we enjoy traveling all over for your special day.
We work closely with you to help capture the best memories of your special day, and in addition, take both candid and posed pictures of your wedding in a way that will not interfere with your enjoyment. We believe that a wedding which only focuses on photos takes away from the actual experience of a wedding. As a result, we do our best to keep the time used for posed images to a minimum so that you and your guests can enjoy the wedding and celebration to its fullest.
In order to provide you with the highest quality product, we do all of our own image editing and use only a professional lab to create our prints and coffee table albums. Photographs from our lab last longer than inkjet prints and have more true color, ensuring that your images are exact down to the finest detail.
All the samples you see were photographed exclusively by us and we are the two photographers mentioned in all wedding packages. We never send stand-ins or assistants to do our photography. This way, we are able to capture that bold yet sensitive touch that each couple desires.
About Our Products
Our Coffee Table Albums take traditional wedding albums to the next level! Instead of albums with pictures inserted into predesigned slots, we use a lab that physically prints the photographs onto the pages of a bound, hardcover book. This type of album will not fall and shift over time as traditional albums will. In addition, the book's front and back covers are linen with a custom dust jacket on top, adding to the elegance and personalization of your album.
The Photo Movie DVD is a DVD playable on all players which blends together a slide show of still images and custom music. The protective DVD cases as well as the DVDs are custom designed using images from your wedding, making them a keepsake in themselves! In both the engagement and bridal portraits, we strive to capture your personality in the images. Whether you prefer a close, intimate look or a wild, spontaneous moment, our eyes are always open and looking for that perfect split-second in time.
The preserve the dress portrait is the newest trend in wedding portraits. Rather than collecting dust in a closet or box, these portraits can get you some extra mileage out of your wedding attire. Ideas for a preserve the dress portrait include playing in a fountain, swimming in a river or pool, four-wheeling in the mud and horseback riding...all in your wedding gown! If you want to have some fun and get more bang for your wedding dress buck, a preserve the dress portrait is the way to go.
To help you feel as comfortable as possible, we recommend inviting a close friend or family member along for your portrait shoot. This can help put you at ease, creating a more natural looking photograph. Portrait sittings can be done at any time as well as any location which allows for commercial photography. An added benefit of a portrait sitting is that it will allow you to become more comfortable in front of the camera, which will also be evident in your wedding day images.Every portrait sitting comes with an edited Photo CD with 20 images.e to add text.
